Q: What services do you provide?
A: For our small business clients, we provide rent-a-CFO, outsource e-bookkeeping, QuickBooks consulting, and income tax planning and return preparation. We also do non-profit and political campaign accounting and tax work, as well as provide litigation support.
Q: What’s a “small business”?
A: Definitions vary. We tend to work with businesses anywhere from start-up to 100 employees / $10 million in annual sales.
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Several of our staff have over 20 years of experience. Henry Levy & Company, CPAs, which was established over 20 years ago.
Q: What’s the advantage to working with you “virtually”?
A: Where appropriate (not all situations), virtual services — in which we work with you through phone, e-mail, and onling meeting software — give you a combination of professional quality, affordable pricing, fast turnaround, reliability and consistency that in-person services can’t provide.
Q: Can you ever work at our office?
A: Definitely. We routinely work on site at our clients located throughout Northern California, and for larger engagements, we travel further, too.
Q: Do you do outsourcing, consulting or training?
A: Yes, yes and yes! We can help you anywhere along the outsourcing-to-DIY spectrum. Some clients like to focus on their core business competencies so they “just want us to take care of it.” Others want to educate and develop certain skills for themselves and their employees so they ask us to teach them. In all cases, we emphasize the importance of creating and maintaining sustainable financial systems.
Q: How quickly can you get started?
A: Usually within two (2) business days.
Q: Do I need to sign a long term contract?
A: No. We can quickly ramp up or down in response to what you need today. When you need us, we’ll be here. It’s partly due to this flexibility that we tend to stay connected to clients over many years as their businesses grow and change.
Q: How much do your services cost?
A: We work on a monthly fee, flat fee or hourly basis, and would provide you with a written quote before we start work.
